The mission of the Gifted/LD Advocacy Group is to advocate for and provide support for students who are gifted and learning disabled(Gifted/LD) within both the private and public sectors in the Vancouver area. We will lobby for sustaining and improving resources at the school district and ministry levels while working collaboratively with other groups interested in the areas of giftedness and learning disabilities.

This website and associated downloadable handbook are for people who are interested in understanding and supporting those who are gifted and also have learning disabilities (Gifted/LD) be they children, youth , or adults. Based in, but not specific to, the Vancouver BC Canada area.

The group meets monthly to share resources and make progress in our community. Parents of GLD children are welcome to suggest useful links or books - including reviews!
